Current Proposed Developments

[Agenda for next Planning Board meeting]

-Oregon Corners (2/09)

-Peekskill Hollow Road--Original Proposal

Save Peekskill Hollow Road update 10/7/09

Preservation of this historic and scenic road is now being reviewed by the Putnam County legislature.

After a successful petition campaign, PVRC assisted in the move by our Town Board to write a recommendation to the County, to preserve the road from unnecessary development that would impair it's scenic and historic value. The county is now in the process of writing a law to preserve county roads including Peekskill Hollow Road.

April 11, 2011 Town Board Meeting

At the April 11, 2011 town board meeting, a resolution was passed, asking the County Legislature to approve a truck weight limit of 20,000 pounds, maximus gross. Once the legislature and the County D.O.T. approves the limit, signs can be posted for enforcement. To date there is no schedule for making any minimal modifications or improvements previously approved for the road at Oregon Corners, Lover's Lane intersection or the bridge, just south of the High School. We will keep you updated.
